Last weekend, I had the chance to visit Deungseon Falls located in Samaksan Mountain, Chuncheon, Gangwon-do. It took about 1 hour and 30 minutes by car from Seoul.

Parking was convenient, with spaces available right next to the waterfall entrance and a public parking lot about 50 meters away. The parking fee was 2,000 KRW for the whole day.

A short walk from the entrance led us to Deungseon Falls, a stunning 10-meter-high waterfall cascading between cliffs and unique rock formations. It's the most renowned waterfall in Samaksan Mountain, accompanied by other falls like Biseon Falls, Seunghak Falls, and Baengnyeon Falls, offering a feast of natural beauty.

The area around Deungseon Falls is well-maintained with railings and stairs, making it safe for family visitors. The combination of the gorge and peculiar rock formations creates a mystical atmosphere, and it's known as a cool retreat during the summer months.
