Hello everyone,

Today, we had an amazing university trip to Gangchon Rail Park and Nami Island. The trip was organized by Chuncheon City Hall and the university’s Global Engagement Center, especially for international students. It was a great opportunity to explore the beauty of South Korea while bonding with fellow students from different countries. The trip allowed us to experience nature, culture, and adventure in a fun and relaxing way.

Our first stop was Gangchon Rail Park, a unique place where we rode rail bikes along an old train track. The rail bike ride was exciting as we pedaled through beautiful scenery, including mountains, rivers, and tunnels. One of the tunnels had colorful lights and music, making the experience even more enjoyable. The fresh air and peaceful surroundings made us feel refreshed. It was also a great way to work together, as we had to pedal in groups. The experience gave us a chance to enjoy nature while getting some exercise.

After the rail park, we visited Nami Island, one of the most famous tourist attractions in South Korea. The island is well known for its beautiful tree-lined paths and as the filming location of the popular Korean drama Winter Sonata. Walking around the island felt like stepping into a dream, with tall trees, clear water, and charming wooden bridges. Many of us took pictures with the famous statue from Winter Sonata. The island also had cute animals like rabbits and squirrels, which made the experience even more special.

Throughout the trip, we had the chance to interact with other international students and make new friends. It was interesting to learn about different cultures while sharing this amazing experience together. The organizers did a great job in making sure everything was well planned, from transportation to meals. They also gave us useful information about the places we visited, helping us understand the history and culture of Chuncheon better.

Overall, the trip was an unforgettable experience that allowed us to explore beautiful places, meet new people, and learn more about Korean culture. It was a perfect blend of adventure, relaxation, and friendship. We are truly grateful to Chuncheon City Hall and the university’s Global Engagement Center for organizing such a wonderful event. This trip will remain a cherished memory for all of us international students.
