Imagine staying in a new country, exploring all kinds of delicious dishes, yet still missing your all-time favorite pizza flavor. That’s exactly what happened to me after spending over seven months in South Korea. I tried various pizzas here, including Domino’s, 7th Street Pizza, Pizza School, and Mr. Pizza. But among them all, Pizza Alvolo stood out—for its cheesy, saucy delight that reminded me of the pizza I love.

Last week, I visited Busan. One afternoon, my friend and I explored Gwangalli Beach, and by the time we were heading back, we were absolutely starving. Suddenly, the thought of pizza popped into my head. My friend suggested we try a well-known chain—Pizza Alvolo. If you’ve been in Korea long enough, you probably guessed it!

We ordered two XL-sized pizzas that completely hit the spot. The first was a Korean-style bulgogi pizza, loaded with savory beef, sweet corn, chunks of chicken, and a rich layer of cheese and sauce. The bold flavors and hint of sweetness made every bite addictive. I could tell just by looking at it that it was going to be amazing. And the first bite? Absolute perfection! The beef was generously portioned, incredibly soft, and melted in my mouth.

The second was the Korean beef bulgogi pizza, topped with marinated beef chunks, onions, and a blend of cheeses on a crispy whole-grain crust. The beef was juicy and tender, and the sauce added a slightly smoky, sweet flavor. Both pizzas came with a large bottle of Coca-Cola, pickles on the side, and sauce packets—creating the ultimate pizza experience. It was flavorful, satisfying, and without a doubt the best pizza I’ve had in Korea.
