Hello everyone,

Today, I had my very first meal at our university canteen, and it was a fun experience! I’ve walked past it many times before, but I never tried the food there until today. The meal was surprisingly delicious and very affordable.

I had makguksu, which is a cold buckwheat noodle dish that’s popular in Chuncheon. It was refreshing and perfect for the summer weather. Along with that, there was kimchi, of course – spicy, sour, and just the right amount of crunch. I also got a bowl of rice, which balanced the meal well.

There were also a couple of side dishes that I tried for the first time: sweet corn and something called “pikal” – I’m not entirely sure if I got the name right, but it was tangy and tasted like pickled vegetables. All the flavors blended nicely together, and I really enjoyed it.

I think I’ll definitely go back again. It’s a great place to eat when you’re in a rush or don’t feel like cooking. Plus, it’s nice to eat with fellow students and feel part of the campus community.
