A Relaxing Day by the Han River in Seoul

There’s something truly special about spending a day by the Han River in Seoul. Even though I live in Chuncheon, whenever I visit the city, I make sure to stop by this iconic spot for some relaxation. On my recent visit, I spent the afternoon enjoying the wide open spaces along the riverbank, soaking in the beautiful views of Seoul’s skyline. The peaceful sound of the water made it the perfect escape from my usual routine. I found a cozy spot by the river, where I could watch families having picnics and cyclists riding along the scenic paths.

One of the best parts about the Han River is the range of activities you can enjoy. You can rent a bike, take a boat ride, or even try paddleboarding if you’re feeling adventurous. There are also plenty of places nearby to grab food—this time, I couldn’t resist getting some classic Korean fried chicken to enjoy by the river. As the sun began to set, the river took on a magical atmosphere. The city lights reflected on the water, creating a stunning view, and the cooler evening breeze made everything feel so refreshing. It’s easy to see why this place is such a popular spot for locals to unwind. Though I live in Chuncheon, I always feel lucky to be close enough to Seoul to experience beautiful places like the Han River. It’s a great place to escape the busy city life and just relax, even if only for a few hours.

If you’re ever in Seoul, I highly recommend taking a day to visit the Han River. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful retreat or something more active, it’s a must-see spot that showcases the beauty of this vibrant city.
