A while ago, I decided to commit to a simple diet plan to lose weight: eating chicken breast for one meal every day.
It felt like the perfect solution—high in protein, low in fat, and super straightforward.
For the first few weeks, everything seemed fine. I felt proud of my discipline and was convinced I was on the right track.

But then, out of nowhere, my stomach started to hurt—a sharp, uncomfortable pain that didn’t go away.
I felt nauseous and could tell something was off.
It made me stop and think about what I had been eating, and that’s when it hit me.
I had been eating chicken breast almost exclusively, with barely any variety or other nutrients in my meals.

I realized I had been so focused on sticking to my “healthy” plan that I completely overlooked the importance of balance.
Sure, chicken breast is great, but my body wasn’t getting everything it needed—no vitamins, no healthy fats, no carbs.
It was a wake-up call. I learned that even the healthiest habits, if taken too far, can backfire.

Since then, I’ve been trying to approach dieting differently.
Now, I make sure to include a mix of vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and healthy fats in my meals.
It’s not just about losing weight anymore—it’s about keeping my body happy and healthy in the process.

Looking back, I’m glad I had that experience because it taught me something important: moderation is everything.
Even good intentions can turn into harm if they’re not balanced.
Now I know that a sustainable, well-rounded approach is the real key to achieving any health goal.
