Hello everyone,

I want to share my train experience with you. As a international student in South Korea, I recently had the opportunity to experience my first train journey on the ITX, traveling from Chuncheon to Pyeongtaek. It was an exciting and unique adventure that left me impressed by the efficiency and comfort of the Korean rail system.

The journey began at Chuncheon Station, a place I’ve come to appreciate for its cleanliness and well-organized layout. After purchasing my ticket, I stepped onto the ITX-Cheongchun, known for its modern design and smooth ride. The interior of the train was spacious and clean, with comfortable seats that made me feel at ease for the two-hour journey ahead.

As the train glided out of Chuncheon, I was captivated by the stunning landscapes outside the window. From the serene beauty of Soyang River to the lush green mountains, the scenery was like a moving postcard. It gave me a moment of peace to reflect on how different South Korea’s natural beauty is from my home country of Sri Lanka.

One thing that stood out during the trip was the punctuality and speed of the ITX. Despite its speed, the ride was incredibly smooth, allowing me to relax and even read a bit of my research material. The onboard facilities, including Wi-Fi and clean restrooms, added to the convenience.

Arriving at Pyeongtaek Station, I couldn’t help but marvel at the connectivity of Korea’s transport system. The train seamlessly connected me to other parts of the city, making it easy to continue my day without hassle.

For anyone new to South Korea, I highly recommend taking a train journey on the ITX. It’s not just a mode of transportation but an experience that showcases the beauty and efficiency of the country. Whether you’re a student, traveler, or resident, the ITX is a wonderful way to explore South Korea while enjoying a comfortable and scenic ride.
