Fast forward to my time here at university in South Korea, and I found myself faced with yet another culinary revelation: Jajangmyeon. Now, if you're not familiar with Jajangmyeon, let me paint you a picture. It's a dish of chewy noodles smothered in a savory black bean sauce, topped with chunks of pork and crisp vegetables. Sounds simple, right? But trust me, the taste is anything but.
