Hey everyone! This is Nati!

Let me take you on a little journey through my culinary escapades here in South Korea. You see, back in my home country, I always had a soft spot for Korean cuisine. There was just something about the bold flavors and comforting warmth of dishes like Bibimbap and Kimchi Jjigae that captivated my taste buds.

But it wasn't until my second visit to Korea in 2022 that I stumbled upon a dish that would change my culinary landscape forever: Yukgaejang. Picture this: a steaming bowl of spicy beef soup, brimming with tender meat, hearty vegetables, and fiery chili flakes. From the first spoonful, I was hooked. The rich, complex flavors danced on my palate, warming me from the inside out. From that moment on, Yukgaejang became my go-to comfort food, a taste of Korea that I couldn't get enough of.

Fast forward to my time here at university in South Korea, and I found myself faced with yet another culinary revelation: Jajangmyeon. Now, if you're not familiar with Jajangmyeon, let me paint you a picture. It's a dish of chewy noodles smothered in a savory black bean sauce, topped with chunks of pork and crisp vegetables. Sounds simple, right? But trust me, the taste is anything but. The rich, umami flavor of the sauce, combined with the tender meat and fresh veggies, creates a symphony of flavors that is nothing short of addictive.

And so, here I am, declaring Jajangmyeon as my new favorite food in Korea. With each slurp of noodles and each bite of savory sauce, I find myself falling more and more in love with this dish. It's become my go-to comfort food, my guilty pleasure, and my taste of Korea. And as I sit here, savoring each mouthful, I can't help but feel grateful for the culinary adventures that brought me to this moment.

So if you ever find yourself in Korea, do yourself a favor and seek out a bowl of Jajangmyeon. I promise you won't regret it.

Bon appétit!
