Yesterday, the U.S. election results were announced, sparking an interesting day for my friend and me. I generally support the Democrats for their focus on liberal values and efforts to promote democracy, while my friend is a big fan of Donald Trump for his bold and strong leadership. A few days earlier, we had a lively discussion about our political views and decided that, no matter who won, we’d go out to celebrate together. With Trump’s victory, we headed to a live kitchen for a unique dining experience.

This was only my second time at a live kitchen, and I was just as thrilled as before. In my country, places like this—where customers cook their own food—are quite rare, so it felt special. The setup was warm and inviting, with a hot grill built into the table and a large hood overhead to draw in the smoke. The server brought out a variety of marinated meats and fresh vegetables, ready for us to cook ourselves. We carefully placed the meat on the grill, watching as it sizzled and turned a beautiful golden brown. Each bite was packed with smoky flavors, which tasted even better when paired with the sauces and sides provided.

The hands-on style of the live kitchen brought a lively and fun vibe, making it the perfect way to enjoy the evening—political differences and all.
