Recently, I visited Soul Roastery Cafe and, on a friend’s recommendation, tried something I had never experienced before—corn coffee.

At first, the idea of combining coffee with corn felt unusual and hard to imagine. However, after taking a sip, I was surprised by how well the flavors worked together. The sweetness of the cream blended nicely with the nutty aroma of corn, creating a balanced and enjoyable taste.

What stood out the most was the texture. I didn’t expect to actually chew corn kernels while drinking coffee, so it caught me off guard at first. Still, that unexpected element made the drink more interesting and memorable.

After this experience, I became curious about other creative coffee variations. I found that some cafes offer potato lattes along with potato bread, and even buckwheat-based coffee. It was interesting to see how different local ingredients are being used in unique ways.

Although these cafes are not located near campus and require some travel, I think they are definitely worth visiting if you’re looking for a new and distinctive experience. If you’re interested in trying something uniquely Korean, these creative coffee combinations are worth exploring.
