Since I came to South Korea, I had always planned to visit Haeundae Beach. So, during my last trip to Busan, I decided to go there with my friend. Our excitement started even before the trip— scrolling through reels, watching videos, and imagining how amazing it would be.

The beach was fine. The ocean moved in its usual soft, wavy rhythm, and tall buildings stood in the distance. But nothing about it captivated me. I remember standing there, looking out at the water, and thinking, Is this it? Is this all there is?  Then, everything shifted. I started walking along the seaside path, aimlessly at first, just letting my feet guide me. At some point, without even realizing it, I began running—not to escape, but chasing something. Ahead, the glow of lights seemed to draw me in.

And then, I saw it. A breathtaking view opened up before me. Wooden stairs traced the edge of the coastline, hugging the curves of the land. Tall trees framed the path, their green leaves dancing softly in the breeze. The sound of the sea grew gentler, blending perfectly with the scene. In the distance, the city lights shimmered like scattered fireflies floating above the water. It was stunning—quiet, magical, and unexpected.

I sat there for a long time, letting the cool breeze brush against my face, listening to the waves, and watching the skyline flicker in the distance. In that moment, everything felt so still and peaceful, as if the world had paused just for me.
