A few days ago, I joined a temple tour here in Korea—and it honestly felt like hitting pause on life.

Tucked away in the mountains, the temple was quiet and calm, surrounded by trees, flowers, and the sound of birds instead of traffic. We rang a giant bell that echoed through the valley, did a tea meditation session in silence (surprisingly calming), and even made bracelets as a way to reflect on our intentions. The day ended with a slow walking meditation around the grounds, and I’ve never felt so grounded.

What surprised me most was how natural it felt to disconnect. No phones, no noise, no rush—just being present. It made me realize how fast-paced our lives are and how important it is to take time to breathe and reset.

Korean temples aren’t just tourist spots—they’re places to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with yourself. If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend going, even just for a day.
