It is incredibly relieving news that the war has finally come to an end. However, as someone who often hitches a ride with friends, I can’t help but look at the gas prices with an anxious eye.

Even though I don't drive myself, I always feel a bit guilty getting in a friend's car when gas prices are this high. I keep wondering when the prices at the pump will finally go down so I can feel less burdened. Experts say that because of the time lag it takes to import and distribute cheaper oil, it might take at least a few weeks or even a couple of months to see a real drop.

I really hope that since the geopolitical risks have cleared up, we will see a noticeable drop in gasoline and diesel prices very soon. Until then, I think I should at least buy my friends some extra coffee or snacks to make up for the heavy fuel costs!
