Hello everyone. Today, I would like to talk about humid weather in South Korea and how it affects my daily life as a university student. Recently, I have noticed that the weather in South Korea feels much more humid than before. One reason for this is that it has been raining quite often these days. Even after the rain stops, moisture remains in the air, making the weather feel sticky and uncomfortable. What I find interesting is that humidity can make the weather feel much hotter than the actual temperature. Sometimes the temperature itself is not very high, but because of the humidity, it feels much warmer than expected. For example, when I walk to school in the morning, I often start sweating after only a few minutes. As a result, I become tired more easily and feel uncomfortable while moving between buildings on campus. Another reason humid weather feels uncomfortable is that sweat does not evaporate easily. When the air is humid, sweat stays on the skin longer, making us feel sticky and even hotter. Because of this, even a short walk outside can feel exhausting. Humid weather also creates many inconveniences in daily life. Clothes sometimes feel damp, laundry takes longer to dry, and my hair often becomes messy because of the humidity. I also notice that humid weather affects indoor spaces. Even when I am sitting in a classroom or studying in the library, the air can sometimes feel heavy and stuffy. Because of this, it becomes more difficult to concentrate on studying or completing assignments. These experiences have made me pay more attention to weather conditions than before. Now, I often check not only the temperature but also the humidity level before leaving home. To deal with humid weather, I have developed several habits that help me stay comfortable. First, I try to wear light and breathable clothing. Second, I make sure to drink enough water throughout the day. Third, I try to spend time in well-ventilated or air-conditioned spaces whenever possible, especially during the hottest and most humid hours of the day. I also pay attention to weather forecasts before leaving home. By checking both the temperature and humidity levels, I can prepare better for the day and avoid unnecessary discomfort. Recently, many people have been talking about unusual weather patterns and climate change. While I am not an expert, I feel that humid and uncomfortable weather is becoming more noticeable in daily life. Through these experiences, I realized that humidity is not just a small weather detail. It can affect our comfort, health, and daily activities. As weather patterns continue to change, I believe it is important to understand how humidity affects our lives and learn simple ways to adapt to it. Thank you for listening.
