What Do You Think About Personal Data?

Toward the end of 2025 and into early 2026—and perhaps even continuing now—the era of “Agent AI” has truly begun. Moving beyond traditional chatbot-style large language models that simply respond to questions, we are now seeing AI systems that can execute user commands: booking accommodations, managing schedules, organizing and summarizing emails, and even creating and handling files on their own.
At the center of this shift, some point to open-source agent programs such as OpenClaw.
I would like to share my experience after using this type of Agent AI for about three months.
Unlike conventional AI, OpenClaw can directly interact with my computer, which has made tedious tasks like file organization and creation much faster and easier. It has also significantly improved my productivity—for example, I was able to quickly build prototypes in areas like web and app development, which previously felt almost out of reach.
In addition, it has made my daily routine more convenient. Every morning, it provides me with weather updates, summarizes important emails, and automatically filters out spam or promotional messages.
Of course, giving this level of access to an AI does raise concerns about personal data and privacy. However, the convenience it offers is significant enough that it can outweigh those concerns for some users.
While there is still room for improvement, even at its current level, Agent AI already feels quite powerful. Looking further ahead, if truly autonomous AI—capable of independent reasoning and decision-making—emerges, it raises both exciting possibilities and serious concerns.
What do you think about granting AI this level of access and control?
