Small Things I’ve Started Stocking Up On

Apparently, stocking up on trash bags has become a bit of a trend among students lately. I’ve been hearing that it’s partly because of rising crude oil prices.
I ended up buying a few packs myself (both standard and food waste bags), just to avoid running out at the wrong time.
Fuel prices have also been going up quite noticeably.
In Korea, gasoline was around the mid-1600 won per liter range earlier this year, but recently it has climbed to around 1,800–1,900 won per liter, and in Seoul it’s even getting close to 2,000 won.
There have also been reports of prices jumping by nearly 200 won within a short period, which is a fairly sharp increase.
If you’re thinking about buying a car in Korea (or even renting one), it might be worth considering an electric vehicle.
Korea generally offers several benefits for EV owners, such as government purchase subsidies, tax reductions (like acquisition tax cuts),
and lower running costs since electricity is typically cheaper than gasoline.
From my own experience, I’ve been getting around a 50% discount on both public parking and toll fees,
and the charging infrastructure is fairly well developed, which makes day-to-day use more convenient.
Not saying you need to rush into stocking up or buying a car, but these are a few things I’ve been paying more attention to recently.
