Have you ever actually seen the effects of global warming with your own eyes?

Last summer, I traveled to the Canadian Rockies for the first time in 25 years. One of the places I visited was the Icefields Parkway, one of the most beautiful scenic roads in Canada.

I had wonderful memories of this place from my previous trip, so I was really excited to see it again.

But when I arrived, I was shocked.

The glaciers had become noticeably smaller than I remembered.

Of course, I had heard about global warming and melting glaciers many times. I've seen news reports, documentaries, and pictures showing how our planet is changing.

But seeing it with my own eyes was completely different.

What surprised me even more was learning that the Athabasca Glacier, one of the most famous glaciers in the Canadian Rockies, could disappear by around 2100 if current trends continue, according to Parks Canada.

That's less than 75 years from now.

It was hard to imagine that such a magnificent natural wonder might disappear within a human lifetime.

Standing there, looking at the shrinking glacier, I realized that climate change isn't just something happening far away or in the distant future.

It's happening right now, right in front of us.

I know that one person's actions can't solve global warming. But I believe small changes in our daily lives still matter.

Reducing food waste, using less electricity, avoiding unnecessary purchases, and choosing public transportation whenever possible may seem like small things.

But if millions of people make these choices, they can become part of a much bigger change.

That trip made me think more seriously about what kind of planet we are leaving for the next generation.

I hope that 25 years from now, people will still be able to visit the Canadian Rockies and admire these beautiful glaciers.

What about you? Have you ever witnessed the effects of climate change firsthand?

And what small things do you do in your everyday life to help protect our planet?

I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences.
